Counting down 17 days to CARIFESTA

Today, the President and Artistic Director of Carifesta XII, Haiti, Elsa Baussan Noel and Philippe Dodard, spoke during the workshop and reflection day dedicated to the cultural Development at a local level, organized, at the Kinam Hotel in Pétion-ville, around the organization of the Caribbean Arts Festival in Haiti, in the presence of local cultural operators and cultural attaches of foreign embassies accredited in the country. It was another opportunity to provide information to cultural operators, to let them know at what stage we are in the organization of Carifesta, two weeks from the opening.

The Carifesta Committee continues to issue authorization (accreditation) to local and foreign journalists; the media have until Friday, August 14 to register. 3 journalists by media can be accredited. The last person to have confirmed her presence is the Vice Mayor of Miramar, Florida, Ms. Darline B. Riggs, who said in her letter of intent that Carifesta is not only the celebration of our roots, our culture, common future but also a wonderful opportunity for the thousands of visitors who will participate to discover the rich culture of Haiti, its traditions, its music, its food, its people and concludes by calling everyone to support this great event.
